Connect your music

Click Connect my music and pick one of three sources. Écho uses one source at a time. To switch, click Log out, then Connect my music again and pick another source.

Source Who can use it What you get
Spotify Only accounts invited to the app (5 at most) Your stats over 4 weeks, 6 months and 1 year, your listening clock, and playlist creation in Spotify (Pro).
Last.fm Everyone Your stats over 1, 6 and 12 months and your recent plays.
Deezer Everyone with a public profile Your current top and your favourites. No listening clock.

Click Log in with Spotify and accept. Spotify limits apps under review to a few invited accounts: if yours is not invited, use Last.fm or Deezer.

Last.fm works with any music service. First connect your service (Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, YouTube Music) to Last.fm, in Last.fm’s settings or in your app. Then enter your Last.fm username in Écho and click Load.

Only the plays recorded by Last.fm since you connected it count.

In Deezer, open My profile, then Share, and copy the link. In Écho, paste it into the field marked deezer.com/profile/… in the Deezer section and click Load. Your profile must be public.

  • Spotify is read directly by your browser. Last.fm and Deezer are read through Écho’s server, which also looks up your top tracks and artists on Deezer to get covers and release years.
  • To describe your taste, the names of your top artists are sent to an AI language model, which estimates their style and how well known they are.
  • With Écho Pro, your messages, the recent conversation, your stats (top artists and tracks per period, listening clock) and what Écho remembers about you are sent to that model to answer you. The answers are turned into speech by a voice service. The In-depth report also searches the web.
  • When you talk, your voice is transcribed by your browser’s speech recognition, which may use your browser maker’s online service, or, if that fails, by the same voice service.

Your browser keeps your Last.fm username or Deezer profile, your Spotify login, your language, your Pro code and, in Pro, what Écho remembers about you.

  • Log out disconnects your source and goes back to demo mode.
  • Remove my Pro code, in Settings, removes the code.
  • Forget, under What Écho remembers about you in Settings, erases Écho’s memory.
