The Swiss QR-bill (invoices) block prints the payment part with receipt defined by SIX in the Swiss Implementation Guidelines QR-bill, version 2.4:
- the Swiss QR Code, with the Swiss cross in its centre,
- structured addresses for the creditor and the debtor,
- headings in German, French, Italian, Romansh or English, following the language of the PDF.
Your customers scan it with their banking app, and the payment is filled in with your account, the amount and the reference.
Add it to a template
Section titled “Add it to a template”- Open your invoice template in the workshop.
- In Add a block, click Swiss QR-bill (invoices).
- Click Save, then generate the PDF of an invoice.
The block cannot be moved or resized: it always takes the bottom of the page, over the full width (210 × 105 mm), as the standard requires.
When it prints
Section titled “When it prints”The payment part prints on an invoice only when all of the following are true:
- the payment method is bank transfer, or is empty;
- the Banks & Cash module is enabled, and the bank account of the invoice (or the default account for invoices) has a Swiss or Liechtenstein IBAN (starting with CH or LI);
- the invoice currency is CHF or EUR. A QR-IBAN is accepted in CHF only;
- something remains to be paid. The amount printed is the remaining amount due;
- the creditor address is complete: postal code, town and country. It is taken from the owner address of the bank account, or else from your company (Setup → Company/Organization).
Otherwise the block prints nothing.
The reference
Section titled “The reference”The reference depends on the kind of account:
| Account | Reference printed |
|---|---|
| QR-IBAN | A 27-digit QR reference, built from the invoice. |
| Ordinary IBAN | A Creditor Reference (starting with RF), built from the invoice reference. |
The invoice reference is also printed under Additional information, so you can recognise the payment on your bank statement.
Where it goes on the page
Section titled “Where it goes on the page”- The payment part prints at the bottom of the last page of the invoice.
- When the last page has no room left, for example because of a footer at the bottom of the page or a long table, it prints on an extra page.
- A template in landscape always prints it on an extra page, in portrait.
Leave the bottom 111 mm of your last page free (the 105 mm payment part plus a 6 mm gap) if you want it on the same page as the totals.
The customer address
Section titled “The customer address”The customer address goes under Payable by. When it is incomplete (no postal code, town or country on the customer card), an empty frame is printed instead, for the customer to fill in by hand. Complete the customer card to have it printed.
Swiss QR-bill or payment QR code?
Section titled “Swiss QR-bill or payment QR code?”The Payment QR code block prints a SEPA transfer QR code (EPC standard), used in the euro area. The Swiss QR-bill is the standard in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Use the one that matches your bank account.
