Block settings

Click a block on the page, or its line in Document blocks, to open its settings in Block properties on the right of the workshop. Some settings appear only for the blocks they concern.
Position and size
Section titled “Position and size”| Setting | What it does | Range |

| Horizontal position | Distance from the left edge of the page to the block, in mm. | 0 to 420 |
| Vertical position | Distance from the top edge of the page to the block, in mm. 0 on Totals, Payment terms, Public note or Free text places the block right after the line table. | 0 to 420 |
| Width | Width of the block, in mm. | 4 to 420 |
| Height | Height of the block, in mm. Text that is longer than the block still prints in full: the height is used for the background, the border and alignment with other blocks. | 0 to 420 |
An A4 page is 210 mm wide and 297 mm high in portrait, 297 × 210 mm in landscape.
To hide a block without losing its settings, untick the checkbox on its line in Document blocks.

| Text size | Size of the text, in points. | 5 to 40 |
| Alignment | Left, centre or right, within the width of the block. | |
| Bold, Italic | Style of the whole block. With your own fonts, upload the bold and italic files for these to show, see Fonts. | |
| Line height | Space between lines, as a factor of the text size. 0.45 is the usual spacing, lower values tighten the lines, higher values open them up. | 0.25 to 1.5 |
| Letter spacing (mm) | Extra space between letters. Useful with uppercase titles. | 0 to 3 |

| Text colour | Colour of the text of this block. Style colour uses the text colour of the document style. Up to version 24.4.0, Line table rows printed in black instead. | |

Background and border
Section titled “Background and border”| Setting | What it does | Range |

| Background | Fill colour of the block, or No background. | |
| Border | Colour of a thin border around the block, or No border. On a Rule, the colour of the line. | |
| Rounded corners (mm) | Radius of the corners of the background and border. | 0 to 20 |
| Opacity (%) | Transparency of the background and border. The text always stays fully opaque. | 10 to 100 |
A block with a background or a border gets a small inner margin, so its text does not touch the edge.
Settings for specific blocks
Section titled “Settings for specific blocks”- Image file (Logo and Image): upload a PNG, JPEG or GIF of up to 2 MB.

- Table rules, Cell padding, Minimum row height (Line table): see Line table.
Remove a block
Section titled “Remove a block”Click the × on its line in Document blocks. To keep a block for later without printing it, untick the checkbox on that line instead.
