  • Dolibarr 21.0 to 25.0. Tested on 21.0.4, 22.0.5, 23.0.3, 24.0.0 and 25.0.0.
  • PHP 7.4 or later.
  • Write access to the Dolibarr documents directory. Empreinte stores the images and fonts you upload there, never in the program directory.
  • For the Bank details and Payment QR code blocks: the Banks & Cash module enabled, with at least one bank account.

You receive the module as a ZIP file named like module_empreinte-24.5.0.zip. Keep this exact file name: Dolibarr reads the folder name from it.

  1. Log in to Dolibarr as an administrator.
  2. Go to Home → Setup → Modules/Applications, then open the Deploy/install external app/module tab.
  3. Choose the ZIP file and click Upload.
  4. Back on the module list, find Empreinte (family Multi-modules tools) and switch it on.

A new PDF templates entry appears in the top menu.

Enabling the module creates two permissions, found in each user’s or group’s Permissions tab under Empreinte:

Permission Allows
View document templates Open the template list and the PDF preview of a template.
Draw and edit document templates Open the workshop, and create, change, duplicate and delete templates.

Two actions are reserved for administrators: choosing the template used by default for a document type (Choose in the list, or the module setup page), and adding or removing fonts.

Printing a document with an Empreinte template needs no extra permission: anyone who can generate the PDF of an invoice can generate it with Empreinte.

  1. Upload the new ZIP as in Install the module. It replaces the previous files.
  2. In Setup → Modules/Applications, switch Empreinte off, then on again. This applies the changes of the new version.

Your templates, uploaded images and fonts are kept: switching the module off never deletes them.

Switching the module off removes Empreinte from the list of PDF templates. The templates you drew stay in the database, so switching it on again brings them back. Documents already generated as PDF are not affected.
