Block reference
Ce contenu n’est pas encore disponible dans votre langue.
A template is a set of blocks placed on the page. This page lists every block, what it prints and where its content comes from in Dolibarr. The settings shared by all blocks (position, size, colours, typography) are described in Block settings.

Prints the image uploaded on the block. If you upload none, it prints the company logo set in Setup → Company/Organization. With neither, nothing is printed.
- Upload a PNG, JPEG or GIF file of up to 2 MB with Image file in the block properties.
- The logo keeps its proportions and fits inside the width and height of the block. With a height of 0, the height follows the width.
Prints an image you upload on the block: a signature, a certification badge, a product photo. Add as many as you need.
- PNG, JPEG or GIF, up to 2 MB.
- After the upload, the block height is adjusted to the proportions of the image.
- Until an image is uploaded, the workshop shows a grey placeholder and the PDF prints nothing.
Company details
Section titled “Company details”(Coordonnées de l’entreprise)
Prints your company as set in Setup → Company/Organization, one item per line:
- Name
- Address
- Zip code and town
- Phone
- VAT number
Empty items are skipped. To change this content, change the company settings in Dolibarr.
Customer address
Section titled “Customer address”(Adresse du client)
Prints the third party of the document: name, address, zip code and town, and VAT number when there is one. Empty items are skipped.
Title and number
Section titled “Title and number”(Titre et numéro)
Prints two lines: the type of document, then its reference, for example Invoice and IN2611-0042.
The type follows the document: Proposal, Order, Invoice, Credit note, Deposit invoice, Shipment or Intervention card, in the language of the PDF (in German: Angebot, Kundenauftrag, Rechnung and so on).
Dates and references
Section titled “Dates and references”(Dates et références)
Prints the dates and references carried by the document, one per line. Only those the document has are printed:
- Date (not on interventions)
- Due date (invoices)
- Delivery date (quotations and orders)
- Validity ending date (quotations)
- Customer reference
- Customer code
Up to version 24.4.0, the delivery date was never printed, and the customer reference was not printed on shipments.
Line table
Section titled “Line table”(Tableau des lignes)
Prints the lines of the document. When the lines do not fit on the page, the table continues on a new page and its header row is repeated.
Columns. Choose them in Table columns on the left of the workshop. For each column, tick it to print it, then set its width and its alignment (left, centre, right). Widths are relative: when you widen the table block, the columns widen in proportion.
| Column | Prints |
|---|---|
| Reference | Product or service reference |
| Description | Product label, then the line description |
| Qty | Quantity |
| Unit price | Unit price excluding tax |
| Discount | Line discount in % |
| VAT | VAT rate |
| Total excl. tax | Line total excluding tax |
Shipments and interventions start with Reference, Description and Qty only. On a shipment, price columns you add show the prices of the order lines. On an intervention they print empty, and Qty shows the duration in hours.
Table settings, in the block properties:
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Table rules | None, One rule per row or Full grid. |
| Cell padding (mm) | Space between the text and the edge of each cell. |
| Minimum row height (mm) | Rows are never lower than this, even with one short line of text. |
The header row uses the Header background of the document style, or the background of the block if you set one.
The options Dolibarr offers when generating a PDF apply as follows: Hide details empties the Unit price and VAT columns (Discount and Total still print), Hide description removes the line description but keeps the product label, and Hide reference empties the Reference column.
Text settings work differently on this block: rows use the text colour of the document style unless you set a text colour on the block (up to version 24.4.0, they printed in black), rows ignore bold and italic, the header row is always bold, and case and letter spacing apply to the header row only.
Totals
Section titled “Totals”(Totaux)
Prints the totals of the document: Total (excl. tax), Total tax and Total (inc. tax). The last line is bold and uses the Accent colour of the document style. Labels sit on the left and amounts on the right: the alignment, bold, case, letter spacing and line height settings have no effect on this block.
Placed right after the table when its vertical position is 0. See Blocks that follow the table.
Payment terms
Section titled “Payment terms”(Conditions de règlement)
Prints the payment conditions (for example Due upon receipt) and the payment method (for example Bank transfer) of the document.
Placed right after the table when its vertical position is 0.
Bank details
Section titled “Bank details”Available from version 24.3.0.
Prints a heading, Payment by transfer to the following bank account, then the account owner, the bank, the IBAN and the BIC/SWIFT, each when filled in, as Dolibarr’s built-in templates do.
- The account is the one set on the document. If the document has none, the default account for invoices is used (Invoices module setup).
- The block prints only when the payment method is bank transfer or is empty. On a document paid by cheque or card, it prints nothing.
- It needs the Banks & Cash module and a bank account. An IBAN is not required for this block.
Payment QR code
Section titled “Payment QR code”Shown in the workshop as Payment QR code (invoices). Available from version 24.3.0.
Prints a SEPA transfer QR code (EPC standard) generated by Dolibarr. Your customer scans it with a banking app, and the transfer is filled in with your IBAN, the remaining amount due and the invoice reference.
The QR code prints only when all of the following are true:
- the document is an invoice,
- the Banks & Cash module is enabled,
- the payment method is bank transfer (or empty),
- the bank account has an IBAN,
- the invoice is not paid.
Otherwise the block prints nothing, and the workshop shows a grey placeholder. The amount is always coded in euros, whatever the currency of the invoice. The QR code also carries the BIC and the beneficiary name (the account owner, or your company name). It is black by default, because banking apps read light or low-contrast codes badly. A new block is 25 × 25 mm.
Swiss QR-bill
Section titled “Swiss QR-bill”Shown in the workshop as Swiss QR-bill (invoices). Available from version 24.5.0.
Prints the Swiss payment part with receipt at the bottom of the last page, over the full width. It cannot be moved. See Swiss QR-bill for the conditions, the reference and the page layout.
Public note
Section titled “Public note”Shown in the workshop as Public note of the document.
Prints the public note of the document, as plain text. The private note is never printed.
Placed right after the table when its vertical position is 0. Up to version 24.4.0, the workshop drew it at the top of the page in that case, while the PDF placed it after the table.
Label + value field
Section titled “Label + value field”Prints a small label with a value underneath, for example Due date above 30/11/2026. Keeping both in one block means they always stay aligned when you move it. Add as many as you need.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Label | The small text above, for example Your reference. Leave it empty to print the value alone. |
| Label size | Text size of the label, in points. |
| Displayed value | Where the value comes from, see the list below. |
| Text | The text printed when Displayed value is Free text. |
The label is printed in a softer shade of the text colour, unless you set a text colour on the block. Case and letter spacing apply to the label only.
Displayed value:
| Choice | Prints |
|---|---|
| Free text | The text typed in Text |
| Document reference | For example IN2611-0042 |
| Document title | For example Invoice |
| Date | Date of the document |
| Due date | Payment due date (invoices) |
| Customer reference | The customer’s own reference |
| Customer address | Same content as the Customer address block |
| Company details | Same content as the Company details block |
| Total excl. tax | Total excluding tax |
| Total incl. tax | Total including tax |
From version 24.4.0, your own fields (complementary attributes) of the document and of the customer are also offered here. See Show your own fields.
Free text
Section titled “Free text”(Texte libre)
Prints the text typed in Text: a thank-you line, terms of sale, a legal notice. Line breaks are kept. Add as many as you need.
Placed right after the table when its vertical position is 0, which suits terms that must follow the totals.
Footer
Section titled “Footer”(Pied de page)
Prints the text typed in Text. If you leave it empty, it prints your company name, your first professional ID (for example the commercial register number) and your VAT number, separated by dashes.
Lines of the table never go below the footer: when the table reaches it, it continues on the next page. With Number the pages on, the page number is printed at the right end of the footer line.
A rectangle with a background colour, a border, or both. Use it for coloured bands, a box around the totals, or a frame around the whole page. Add as many as you need.
Frames are always printed behind the other blocks. A click on the page ignores a frame when another block is under the pointer: to select a frame covered by other blocks, click its line in Document blocks.
A thin horizontal line, the width of the block. A new rule is light grey. Its colour is the Border colour of the block: choose No border to make it follow the Rule colour of the document style. Add as many as you need.
